-------------------------1999 CedInPro Development------------------------- Select preferences from the file menu:   (You must enter information in all of the fields) Account Use this popup list to select the account that you want to edit. Select 'Add new' to add an account. Account name Enter the name of the account (i.e the name of the provider or your nick name) Mail host Enter the internet adress of your POP-server (i.e mail.provider.com or yourdomain.com). The adress is the same as the one you're using in your regular email program and is often refered as 'POP3' server or 'Incoming mail server' User name Enter your mail user name. Password Enter your mail password. Get subject and... With this option set ON you can catch quick information about the mails in your accounts. I.e the subject(s)  Startup window size The first option you can do is choosing wether or not you want to use the normal sized window or a smaller sized window. The differense between the two windows sizes are that the small sized window doesn't show any information and that the only available option is to start a manual check. The benefits having a small sized window is that is you won't have a window that takes up all of the room on your desktop. There is however an option that change the main window back to normal when a new mail is received. Startup window position The other option makes it possible for you to save the current position of the window on specific spot on your desktop i.e on the bottom left corner. To do this, do as it says here: 1. Move the mail window to the place you've choosen on your desktop to be the special spot. 2. Open the preferences window and click on the second tab on the menubar. 3. Click on the 'Save current position' button 4. You're done!  Auto check Check this box to enable the autocheck function. Enter the time (in minutes) between checks in the field.  Visual Check this box and you will get a window that notify you if you have any new mails in the account checked. Sound Use this to get a audio signal that notify you if you have any new mails in the account checked. |
